I feel sorry for Barbara Bush. Even when your Dad is no longer president your political opinions get doused just because of your last name. Do I believe in gay marriage? No, but, Barbara Bush has a right to an opinion. She owns that right. The quote they used from her mom was interesting. I applaud her for taking a step away from her parents beliefs. Now if only some Kennedy's would do that (jk. lol.)
I like that she spoke out and didn't just go along with her parents. And she is speaking out for something controversial, which shows she know what's going on. This helps me see she's not just a party girl or daughter of a former president...she's her own person.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Whether it's right or wrong, everyone still has an opinion. Sometimes it's hard to look past those who will judge you for your opinion just because it isn't what they believe. I think it shows a lot of courage on her part.
